Innovations
Nature Lab is our initiative to research, test and develop shoes in a more sustainable way. This shoe uses the following innovations:
#1 – Component reduction - Waterproof PU
We applied our component reduction approach to this shoe by using waterproof PU. This durable material, inspired by the protective raincoats of fishermen, allowed us to reduce the number of components without compromising on performance. By eliminating the need for traditional waterproof membranes, which can wear out over time, we’ve crafted a shoe that offers long-lasting water protection and increased durability.
#2 – 3D-Knitted Merino Wool
These shoes are made with 3D-knitted Merino wool, a natural and sustainable material that keeps feet cool. Wool is breathable, moisture-wicking, and odor-resistant without synthetic treatments. The 3D-knit structure reduces waste while allowing air to flow. And when it needs a refresh? Just toss it in the wash. A cooler, lighter, and more sustainable choice for spring and summer.
