A Summer to Remember ☀️

As we enter the final week of August, it’s hard not to feel a little nostalgic. Summer in Norway this year was magical — long, golden days that gave us the chance to soak up the sun, slow down, and enjoy the simple things… preferably in our favorite Kastel shoes.

Here at the office, we all embraced the Norwegian summer: hours spent outdoors, by the sea or a quiet lake, maybe with a slightly overpriced basket of strawberries in hand 😅 We hope you had one of those summers too.

Now, as autumn slowly approaches with its cooler air and rainy days, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you — truly — for being part of this wild ride that was the first half of 2025. It’s been unforgettable.

We kicked off the year with a milestone:

🖤 The launch of Eykr, our 17-years-in-the-making bunad shoe.

A deeply personal project that sold out faster than we could have imagined.

Then came another first:

👟 Our very first co-designed shoe, Sagene by Helene Olafsen — a breathable, beautiful merino wool sneaker that’s all about femininity, function, and comfort from the first step.

Next up was something new and bold:

🎨 Kampen, our modular sneaker that lets you switch patches to change the look and feel.

We even released a limited edition Pride Patch, bringing extra color and love to the Kampen design 🌈

— and the feedback? Overwhelmingly positive.

And finally, two fresh updates to a Kastel summer icon:

🌼 Stavern, a long-time favorite, got not one but two new uppers —

• One in merino wool

• One in delicate floral lace

The result? A sneaker that feels casual but looks dressy. Exactly what our wardrobes were missing.
