Madla - the shoe that made Kastel
Madla was our first big hit. Before Madla, the only options you had in rainy weather was wet sneaker or chunky boots. We made one of the first waterproof sneaker-boot hybrid. Since then we have sold this style through many iterations over the years, but now that we found our beloved waterproof raincoat material, we decided to remake the Madla using this. The PU-material is 100% waterproof and very strong making it last a lot longer than your typical fragile membrane.
You can think of it like a marriage between a rubber boot and a sneaker, but in this shoe we have a moisture absorbing lining as well as a thin wool lined insole. This will keep the moisture away from your feet making you feel nice and dry unlike the traditional rubber boot.
