- Kollen boots by Tiril Eckhoff
Product Hero

Product Description
From gold at Kollen to everyday winter wins.
Kollen is named after Holmenkollen, where Tiril Eckhoff raced through snow and ice. With her insight, we built a modular boot for real winter.
Use the padded shaft for full snow protection. Remove it, and you get a warm, waterproof everyday boot.
The Merino wool lining keeps the feet dry and warm, while the grippy outsole provides firm traction on slippery streets.
Innovations
Nature Lab is our initiative to research, test and develop shoes in a more sustainable way. This shoe uses the following innovations:
#1 – Modularity
At Kastel, we believe one shoe can do more. By designing modular components—like the removable shaft on Kollen—we make shoes that adapt to your needs. Add warmth and coverage when needed. Remove it when you don’t. This is just the beginning of how we’re rethinking footwear to extend use, reduce waste, and keep you comfortable through it all.
Learn more#2 – Size Insert
These shoes come with a size insert, designed to improve fit and reduce returns. Offering half sizes helps, but it also creates stock and production challenges. Instead, we developed a size insert that adjusts the fit by half a size, ensuring a better fit without extra production. If a shoe feels slightly off, this simple solution makes it just right.
